N. Masani Landfair – Artist Statement and Bio.

I take materials considered undesirable and redefine their worth and meaning. I use traditional collage and assemblage to create abstract social commentary, dream landscapes and spaces I consciously and subconsciously deal with every day.

I grew up in the heavily industrial community of South Chicago which contrasted constantly with the teachings and ways of my Southern Grandparents that continued with much of our culture from their transition through the Great Migration. These influences shaped my views of beauty and worth in the simple to complex dilapidations and sacred understandings of nature and the environment.

Robert Carr- Jimmy Hendrix

Robert Carr  "Prince"
Artist Robert Carr fell in love with art at an early age. Exploring a variety of techniques and innovative mediums, Carr mastered the art of portraiture and abstract representation. In Carr's words, "When I paint my brush is like projector, that projects my Inner-most thoughts. As I reflect upon nature, people and personal journeys in life, awaken new perspectives on the spiritual in art and painting." http://blackartinamerica.com/profile/Robertcarr

Dearly Beloved… We are gathered here today to get through this thing called life. And 25 years ago, life seemingly revolved around an elfin horndog with a rococo fashion sense, an alpine voice, and a purple motorcycle twice his size. Purple Rain is remembered for its music ...
The Experience Hendrix Tour has been paying homage to the musical genius of Jimmy Hendrix for over a decade, bringing together a diverse, all-star aggregation of extraordinary guitarists including multiple Grammy-winning Kennedy Center honoree Buddy Guy, Jonny Lang, Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Black Label Society’s Zakk Wylde.
Soi·rĂ©e an evening party or gathering, for conversation and music, mixologist Alan Emerson Hicks, Purple Haze Martini's.
