Dear friends, friends of the arts, artists, and art-lovers,
Please join us for
EXQUISITE CORPSE ART PARTY
On Friday, October 14,2011
6PM-9PM
at Café Ballou
939 N. Western Ave, Ukrainian Village, Chicago
This event is a part of Chicago Artists Month 2011
Enjoy the BALLOU & YOU exhibition, have a drink, and create your own “part of the corpse”.
Exquisite corpse, also known as exquisite cadaver (from the original French term cadavre exquis) or rotating corpse, is a method by which a collection of words or images is collectively assembled. Each collaborator adds to a composition in sequence, either by following a rule or by being allowed to see the end of the previous collaborator's contribution.
No special skills are necessary… There are many ways to play the “exquisite corpse”.
Come ready to chat, sketch, draw, drink, collage, eat, paint (acrylics or watercolors, no oils, please), and/or write.
