Community doesn't develop through presentations. It develops through participation.
That's the spirit behind Westside Conversations: Living Studio, a new series of gatherings that will begin this August at Austin Library.
Rather than asking people to attend another meeting, Living Studio invites neighbors, artists, organizers, practitioners, and anyone curious about community into a shared creative practice. Together we'll ask questions, tell stories, explore ideas, and imagine what becomes possible when community engagement itself is approached as an art practice.
These gatherings won't be about arriving with all the answers. There'll be spaces for inquiry, reflection, experimentation, and collective imagination. Every conversation becomes part of an ongoing practice of creating the conditions for human development.
