PHANTOM GALLERY CHICAGO NETWORK joins the
Pop-Up movement in Chicago’s South & West Loop
Art Walks, Art Talks, Art Installations, Art on the Move
October 7th—November 4th, 2010
There is a well established history of artists taking over empty shops for temporary exhibitions or community projects , and in the current economic downturn such activity is being actively supported both by local councils and artist networks. The aim of the Phantom Galleries is to examine changes in current curatorial production and to develop innovative displays in relation to these physical storefronts or virtual spaces.
